The UAB cross country team wrapped up its 2014 campaign on Friday with an 18th-place finish at the NCAA South Regional at Apalachee Regional Park.

UAB cross country sophomore Sarah Livett was one of six runners named to the Conference USA Women's Cross Country All-Academic Team, the league office announced Friday.

The UAB cross country team is set to compete at the NCAA South Regional in Tallahassee, Fla., on Friday at 8 a.m. CT at the Apalachee Regional Park.

The UAB cross country team finished sixth with 152 points at the Conference USA Championships in Denton, Texas. Junior Lucy Crookes, freshman Rebecca Evans and sophomore Sarah Livett finished in the top 20, earning All-Conference USA honors.

The UAB women's cross country team begins its championship season at the Conference USA Championships in Denton, Texas, at the Eagle Point Cross Country Course on Saturday at 9 a.m.

The UAB cross country team finished 11th out of a field of 33 teams with a score of 341 at the Crimson Classic at the Harry Pritchett Running Park in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Junior Lucy Crookes led the Blazers with a 17th-place finish.
