The Troy cross country season began Friday at the JSU Struts Season Opener where the men's and women's teams placed second and ninth in the red division, respectively.
Troy men's basketball, women's cross country and women's track were recognized Friday for winning the Sun Belt Team Academic Award for having the highest team GPA for their respective sports in the conference.
